UV Light Installation (UV‑C)

What’s Included

Ask for UV-C

as an add-on to coil cleaning or new air handler installs.

UV-C installed near the evaporator coil or plenum can help inhibit microbial growth on damp HVAC surfaces. It is a maintenance add-on, not a cure-all, and works best when combined with proper filtration and routine system cleaning.

Our Process

  • Evaluate air handler access and coil location
  • Select a UV-C kit sized for your system
  • Install and wire the unit according to manufacturer instructions
  • Test operation, check for light leaks, and review replacement schedule

Equipment We Use

  • In‑duct UV‑C kit (lamp + ballast/controller)
  • Drill/holesaw and mounting hardware
  • Safety glasses and light‑leak shield where needed

How Often?

Most UV-C lamps run continuously and are typically replaced every 12–24 months, depending on the model, operating hours, and manufacturer guidance.

No. UV-C helps target surface growth near the coil, but it does not replace filtration, ventilation, or routine cleaning.

When installed inside the plenum or air handler and properly sealed, UV-C remains contained. We test for light leaks and review safety guidance with you.

UV-C can help keep coil surfaces cleaner between services, but it does not replace filter changes or periodic HVAC cleaning.
