2) Sweep flue/firebox, remove deposits, and capture debris
3) Inspect cap/crown/flashings and visible masonry
4) Test draft and note any hazards or repairs
5) Provide photos and a summary report
Plan on an annual sweep and inspection for regularly used fireplaces/wood stoves, or sooner if you notice smoke issues, odors, or after a chimney fire.
If needed and safely accessible. Some inspections can be performed from the firebox using rods/cameras.
