UV Light Installation (UV‑C)

What’s Included

Ask for UV‑C

as an add‑on to coil cleaning or new air handler installs.

UV‑C at the evaporator coil/plenum can inhibit microbial growth on surfaces that stay damp. It’s a maintenance helper—not a cure‑all—and works best combined with filtration and routine cleaning.

Our Process

1) Evaluate air handler access and coil location

2) Select a UV‑C kit sized to your system

3) Install and wire per manufacturer instructions, test operation

4) Label replacement interval and review safety precautions

Equipment We Use

  • In‑duct UV‑C kit (lamp + ballast/controller)
  • Drill/holesaw and mounting hardware
  • Safety glasses and light‑leak shield where needed

How Often?

Most UV‑C lamps run continuously and are replaced every 12–24 months depending on model and runtime.

No. It targets surface growth at/near the coil. Use it along with filtration, ventilation, and cleaning.

Installed inside the plenum with the air handler closed, UV‑C is contained. We test for light leaks and review safety with you.

UV‑C helps keep coils cleaner between services but doesn’t replace filter changes or periodic cleaning.
